Fees
Free 30-minute consultations by phone, Zoom, or in person are available to discuss rates, insurance, services, and counseling approach. Request a consultation.

Insurance
Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance. Angela provides in-network mental health counseling for Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna Behavioral Health / Evernorth, and CareSource members. Angela is in network for almost all BCBS plans, including some special Blue Cross plans purchased individually through the health care marketplace, such as Blue Home with UNC Alliance. She also provides in-network services through the Aetna State Health Plan.
If your insurance is through another provider, you may be able to receive reimbursement using your out-of-network benefits. Angela submits claims for clients who want to file for out-of-network reimbursement; you complete no additional paperwork and receive reimbursement from your insurance company directly. Please contact your insurance company before your first visit to learn about your mental health benefits for in- or out-of-network coverage, keep track of your benefits usage, and let the office know about any changes.
Couples and family therapy: there are special considerations when billing insurance for couples and family therapy. Read Angela's full policy (PDF). Angela will discuss this and answer any questions during your initial phone consultation, and review it again in your first session.
Angela no longer provides services through Employee Assistance Programs (EAP). If you have questions about fees or benefits, please contact the office.

Credit card, Health Savings Account (HSA), cash, or check.
Cancellation policy
If you do not attend your scheduled appointment and have not notified the office at least 24 hours in advance, a fee applies: $100 for canceling with less than 24 hours' notice and $145 for not attending without notice. These fees are not covered by insurance or employee assistance programs.
